exporting recalculated normals in studio XL

    Hello René, 

    When you recalculate normals, InstaLOD computes the vertex normals directly stored within the mesh. You could run a bake operation to transfer the normal information into a texture.

    I would recommend the following workflow:

    1. Recalculate the normals for the high-poly mesh using the MTK and export the scene.
    2. Optimize the mesh (without recalculating normals).
    3. Reimport the result from step 1.
    4. Create a bake profile and bake the normal map from the high-poly mesh to the low-poly mesh.
