License activation thru http proxy
AnsweredHi everyone,
We have a squid web proxy in use which seems to still block some websites required to activate instalod over the internet.
We already whitelisted instalod.com and instalod.io.
When i disable the proxy for the machine in question it will work perfectly fine.
Did anyone find out what websites are used for activation process so i can whitelist them in the proxy?

Official commentHello,Thank you for reaching out.Typically, such a problem occurs if InstaLOD cannot connect to our license server due to a firewall, an anti-virus software, or another application such as Internet Explorer Advanced Security blocking the connection. Whitelisting the authorization server should resolve your issue.Due to security policies, we cannot share the address of the license server here.I will reach out to you in a separate email. Thanks,AndreasComment actions

Hello,
Thank you for uploading the screenshot.
If you see an "invalid request" error when entering the address of our authorization server in your browser, it means that your machine can connect to the server. Please make sure that no security application is blocking the connection.
If you log in to InstaLDO Cloud, is your machine listed under "Machine Activations?
By the way, I have noticed that you already had a similar problem during your evaluation period in May 2018. Whitelisting the address in the proxy seems to have resolved the problem.
Thanks,
Andreas

Hi Andreas,
After analysing the HTTPS traffic we noticed that InstaLOD failed to connect to
ocsp.usertrust.com
crl.usertrust.comSo we always had an error of not being able to confirm the certificates for the ssl connection.
After enabling both of them in the proxy the activation worked.
Best
