Integration InstaLOD in Unreal Engine 4.20
AnsweredHi, here is my issue.
I have copied the InstaLODMeshReduction folder in plugins folder, recompiled our project and launch the editor on our project.
In the project setting, I have selected InstaLOD in the Hierarchical LOD Mesh Simplification menu (see image)
When I have restarted the editor, the InstaLOD button was there, but when I clic on it I have this window.
Where is my mistake ? What is the next step ?

Our project is still on UE 4.20, then I have used "InstaLOD for Unreal Engine 2018 - Preview 2".
I have tried the latest "InstaLOD for Unreal Engine - SDK2019 Update 3" on our project but it does not compile, and it's normal.

Hello,It's great to hear that you were able to solve the problem. InstaLOD for Unreal Engine 2018 - Preview 2 was indeed missing a message that InstaLOD needs to be enabled as Mesh Reduction Plugin. This has been fixed in later versions.Unfortunately, UE4 introduces heavy API changes with each major version, and we can't provide backward compatibility for older engine versions when releasing a new version of InstaLOD for Unreal Engine. The latest version of our integration, InstaLOD for Unreal Engine - SDK2020, is compatible with the engine versions 4.22, 4.23 and 4.24 Preview 4.We are currently in the process of updating our documentation on how to use InstaLOD for Unreal Engine. As the user interface is built in the same way as in InstaLOD Studio XL our other integrations such as InstaLOD for Autodesk Maya, I'd recommend watching the tutorial videos on our YouTube channel or to dig into our Knowledge Base.Thanks,Andreas

To gain access to InstaLOD Cloud, you first need to sign up for an evaluation of InstaLOD or for a free seat license.
