Changing the application mode in InstaLOD Studio

InstaLOD Studio can be run in different modes that allow the application to function in any role in an InstaLOD Grid network. Depending on your InstaLOD license, some options may be restricted. 

Changing the application mode

Navigate to the 'Preferences' and select the 'Application' tab to change the 'Application Mode'. InstaLOD Studio will be run in the selected mode upon restart:

• Standalone: Allows running mesh operations locally and on an InstaLOD Grid Server.
• Client: Can run mesh operations on an InstaLOD Grid server only.
• Server: Provides a window to configure an InstaLOD Grid Server. Runs without a viewport.
• Worker: Provides a window to configure an InstaLOD Grid processing Worker node. Runs without a viewport.

Running as Server or Worker

To change the application when running in 'Server' or 'Worker' mode, navigate to 'File' and select 'Restart As...'.
