Does InstaLOD support symmetry?

InstaLOD currently does not support the preservation of symmetry across models when optimizing or remeshing geometry.

As a workaround you can do the following processes:

1. Optimize or Remesh the model
2. Split the model in half using a clipping plane (If you use the remesher, you can use the clipping plane function in the remesh settings, otherwise use a clipping functionality available in your software of choice).
3. Duplicate and mirror the mesh
4. Combine both halves and use the vertex welding functionality to weld the center vertices.
