InstaLOD's AMD Radeon™ ProRender Integration can not only be accessed via InstaLOD Studio XL directly but can also be executed from the command line. This allows for batch rendering and fully automated workflows, including final product shots.
To render a scene from the command line, first
cd (change directory) into the InstaLOD Studio XL folder directory and execute InstaLOD Studio XL with the
-raytraceargument followed by the render settings filename.
If no 'settings file' is specified, the default settings will be used.
Render settings can be loaded or exported in the Raytracing window within InstaLOD Studio XL.
Render scenes can be prepared by using 'Scene Rules'. To execute these, specify a profile using the
-profileargument followed by the filename:
In order to queue files for rendering, a valid scene needs to be loaded by specifying the
-loadScene argument followed by a filename:
Once a scene has been loaded, additional scenes can be imported using the
The desired AOVs needs to be specified after the
-imageExport argument, using the corresponding names (e.g. 'ao', 'beauty' or 'all') followed by the file output location, filename and file extension.
The image-based light (HDRI environment map) can be specified using the
-ibl argument followed by one of the names available from the 'Environment Selection' list within InstaLOD Studio XL :
If no IBL is required due to using a custom light setup, use the
The following command prepares the scene with Rules and exports the beauty pass into a separate "Output" folder as a PNG file. The Scene is lit using the IBL "Out Italy Backstreet".
